1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Climate & Environment Linked DataBase (CLDB) Platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Platform. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Platform.

2. Use of the Platform

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Platform for lawful, research, and informational purposes in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the Platform:

• In any way that violates any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation.
• For the purpose of exploiting, harming, or attempting to exploit or harm minors in any way.

3. User Accounts

Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Platform. You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Platform and for any activities or actions under your password.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

The Platform and its entire contents, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video, and audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof) are owned by the CLDB, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

Your use of the Platform is at your sole risk. The Platform is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the data provided is free of errors or that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event will the CLDB, its affiliates, or their licensors, service providers, employees, agents, officers, or directors be liable for damages of any kind, under any legal theory, arising out of or in connection with your use, or inability to use, the Platform, any websites linked to it, any content on the Platform, including any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

7. Governing Law

All matters relating to the Platform and these Terms of Service, and any dispute or claim arising therefrom or related thereto, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of the jurisdiction without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision or rule.
